The Qatar World Cup 2022 is just around the corner, with the first match kicking off at 4pm on Sunday between the hosts and Ecuador. Many people will be ramping up their excitement in the lead up to kick off, but others might be forced to miss some of their favourite shows in the coming weeks, all due to the footie.
The matches will be split between ITV1 and BBC One once the competition gets underway, meaning sometimes shows will be cancelled or moved channel while the schedule remains unchanged on the other. So, while you might be able to catch The One Show on BBC One at 7pm, Coronation Street and Emmerdale won't always be available.
Some shows will be moved or pushed back to accommodate the World Cup matches, while others simply won't run if there is a match scheduled at the same time as the show. Shows such as Strictly Come Dancing and I'm A Celebrity... will still air, while quiz shows will not always.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here
I'm A Celeb, usually on at 9pm on ITV1, could clash with World Cup matches aired on the channel which start at 7pm.
One these days, the jungle reality show will start at 9.15pm instead - but if there is no ITV match scheduled, the show will take its usual 9pm slot.
Strictly Come Dancing
The same is true of Strictly on BBC One, though currently there are no matches scheduled to conflict with Strictly's airtime until after the early stages of the competition.
However, when the competition reaches the semi finals - starting on Saturday, November 3 - the BBC have taken the controversial decision to move Strictly to the Friday. The Strictly Quarter Final, which will have a Musicals theme, will be shown on Friday, December 2 at 8pm. This is currently the only Strictly show to change dates as a result of the World Cup, but with more of the later-stage matches taking place on Saturday and Sundays, fans could see move schedule changes.
The Chase and Tipping Point
However, quiz shows which will clash with matches - notably The Chase and Tipping Point on ITV1 - will not run at all on the dates that the channel is showing a game. But the shows will continue to run at normal times when there is no World Cup match scheduled on that channel.
Emmerdale and Coronation Street
Emmerdale and Coronation Street will continue to air throughout the competition, but, so far, only next week's episode times have been released. Neither show will air on ITV 1 on Monday, November 21 or Friday, November 25.
Instead, Emmerdale will run an hour long episode on Tuesday, December 22 from 7pm. Another hour long episode will be shown on November 23, followed by Coronation Street for an hour at 8pm. Both shows will, again, run for an hour each on Thursday 24, before not showing on Friday 25.
Bargain Hunt and Doctors
On the BBC, daytime and early afternoon shows such as Bargain Hunt and Doctors won't run when the broadcaster has an afternoon game on, and The One Show won't run on BBC One if there is a match on at 7pm during the week.
