World Cup: Tucker, Illingworth to officiate in India-New Zealand semi-final

NEW DELHI: The ICC has announced the umpire lineup for the upcoming World Cup semifinals, with Rod Tucker and Richard Illingworth set to officiate in the first clash between India and New Zealand in Mumbai on November 15. Nitin Menon and Richard Kettleborough will take charge of the second semi-final between Australia and South Africa in Kolkata on November 16.

Illingworth, who also officiated in the 2019 World Cup semifinal between India and New Zealand, will be on-field alongside Tucker, who will celebrate his 100th ODI as an umpire during the high-stakes encounter in Mumbai. The third umpire for this match will be Joel Wilson, with Adrian Holdstock as the fourth umpire, and Andy Pycroft as the match referee.

Kettleborough, who achieved a century of ODIs during this World Cup, will lead the officiating team in the second semifinal, joined on-field by Nitin Menon, officiating in his first World Cup. Chris Gaffaney will serve as the third umpire, with Michael Gough as the fourth umpire, and Javagal Srinath as the match referee.

Additionally, Ahsan Raza achieved a milestone during the World Cup, officiating in his 50th ODI during the match between England and the Netherlands in Pune on November 8.
