World Cup star drops transfer hint amid Liverpool links as 'big club' claim emerges

Here are your Liverpool morning headlines for Friday, December 2.

Liverpool told Mohammed Kudus is ready for 'big club' amid transfer links

Ghana star Mohammed Kudus has been told he could move to a “big club” amid links with Liverpool.

The Reds have been credited with an interest in the Ajax playmaker, who is currently impressing at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Kudus has scored two goals in his opening two matches in the competition for his country in the Middle East.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Kudus over the last few weeks. Jurgen Klopp will already be aware of the player, with the Reds having played Ajax in the Champions League group stages this season.

Everton have also been linked with the 22-year-old, as have Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle. And a team-mate of Kudus has explained why he thinks the player will move clubs soon.

Inaki Williams, who plays alongside Kudus for Ghana, has spoken about why he thinks Ajax has become “too small” for the playmaker. The Athletic Bilbao star believes Kudus will move to a “big club” in the near future.

Josko Gvardiol drops transfer hint after Liverpool admission

Croatia defender Josko Gvardiol has refused to rule out a possible move to Chelsea despite previously admitting his love for Liverpool as a boy.

RB Leipzig centre-back Gvardiol is enjoying a stellar World Cup, helping to guide his national team into the last-16. Notable for his distinctive black facemask, the 20-year-old was rock-solid at the back alongside former Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren as opponents Belgium were eliminated from the tournament after a goalless draw.

Gvardiol has previously revealed his admiration for Liverpool and spoken about how he would follow them from a distance with his father, harbouring hopes of representing the club.

Despite his clear affinity for Liverpool it is Premier League rivals Chelsea who he has been strongly linked with - a move that would create a link-up with compatriot Mateo Kovacic - and when quizzed on a possible switch to Stamford Bridge by The Athletic , he did little to dampen the speculation.
