The final day of the group stage is upon us. After today, 72 matches will have been played at the 2026 World Cup and only 16 teams will have been eliminated. That’s a lot of squeeze for not a lot of juice.
Nevertheless, there are still things to be settled. Such as the final outcome of Group L, where Croatia, England and Ghana are all scrapping for position before the knockout rounds. Portugal also need a win over Colombia to secure top spot in Group K.
