Arsenal v London City Lionesses ... live!
I’m going to have to squeeze in an afternoon walk somewhere, but this match, followed by England v Andorra and then the undeniable main event that is Republic of Ireland v Hungary are going to be taking up a sizeable chunk of my day. Arsenal and London City Lionesses get the ball rolling in less than 10 minutes and you can follow the action with Rob Smyth …
Kylian Mbappe: The striker equalled Thierry Henry’s tally of 51 goals for France with a fine solo effort against Ukraine in Wroclaw last night. Mbappe is joint second in the scoring charts for France and needs to score seven more to beat the record held by Olivier Giroud. considering he’s just 26 years old, one imagines Mbappe will end up obliterating the record, unless of course he spits the dummy over something or other and stops playing for France.
“Big up to Titi [Henry], but now I want to surpass him,” said Mbappe after the game. “It’s an honour to equal a player like Henry, everyone knows what he means to us French people, even more so to strikers. He’s someone who paved the way, and I have a lot of respect and admiration for him.”
