England's odds of winning the World Cup in Qatar have been slashed following their 3-0 win in the last-16 against Senegal on Sunday night.
Goals from Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka saw Gareth Southgate's men comfortably through to the quarter finals where they will face France. Les Bleus had secured their own safe passage earlier in the day with a brace from Mbappe sealing a 3-1 win against Poland for the current holders.
Following their win, the Three Lions have seen their chances of winning the tournament for the first time since 1966 boosted by the bookies. The win saw their odds with Betfair were slashed from 8/1 before kick-off to 6/1 following the final whistle at close to midnight local time.

England are still not favourites, however, and will face the 4/1 second favourites France in their next match which takes place on Saturday, 10th December. In quarter final action on Monday are pre-tournament favourites Brazil who remain the bookies' choice at 23/10 while Lionel Messi's Argentina side are third with odds of 9/2.
Should England beat France in their next match, then fifth favourites Spain (13/2) or Portugal (11/1) are their most likely opponents in the semi-final. As England move through the tournament, there appears to be growing expectations of Southgate's team and this is reflected in the betting markets.
Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “England have been backed into 6/1 to win the World Cup, having been 8/1 before beating Senegal 3-0 to set up a mouthwatering quarter-final clash with holders France. Brazil are the 23/10 favourites to lift a sixth World Cup trophy, with France 4/1 and Argentina 9/2 to go all the way in Qatar. Meanwhile, England will have a job on their hands containing Kylian Mbappe, who is odds-on at 4/7 to win the tournament’s Golden Boot.”
