NEW DELHI: Pacer Lahiru Kumara was on Sunday ruled out of the remainder of the World Cup with a left thigh muscle injury dealing a big blow to Sri Lanka ahead of their must-win match against Afghanistan in Pune on Monday.

The ICC technical committee approved pacer Dushmantha Chameera as Kumara's replacement, who suffered the niggle in Pune during a training session.
