World Cup fanzone offers free drink to anyone wearing an England shirt bearing a scorer's name

England fans are being offered a free drink at a World Cup screening - to anyone who wears a shirt bearing the name of an England player who scores against Wales.

The promotion is being offered at Victoria Warehouse in Trafford Park, which is screening Friday night's game against USA and also Tuesday's final group stage match against Wales.

The 'Red Square' fanzone is screening all the England matches as well as offering footie-themed food, a large bar area, music and an 'unrivalled matchday atmosphere' in the shadow of Old Trafford football stadium, according to the organisers.

Promoters say the screenings are proving popular although tickets remain available to tonight's USA game. The offer of a free drink isn't available tonight but will be on offer for the Wales match on Tuesday.

Organisers promise anybody who attends the England vs Wales screening on Tuesday and who wears a football shirt with the name of an England player who scores during the game will receive a free drink.

The offer is redeemable on soft drinks, bottled beers or glass of wine to those over 18 years who show a valid ID, stress the organisers.

James Cohen, Victoria Warehouse Group MD, said: “Victoria Warehouse promises football fans a unique World Cup viewing experience thanks to its setting. Come and join us to cheer on the Three Lions as they take on their next challenges in Qatar on 25th and 29th November."

The 'family friendly' venue has a capacity of 800, with tickets costing £2. Tickets are available here.
