Netherlands and Japan ended their Group of Death encounter in a dramatic 2-2 draw after a thrilling spectacle in the second half. Daichi Kamada's stunning last-gasp header salvaged a point for the Samurai Blue, denying Oranje what appeared to be a crucial victory in a group where every point is precious.

Japan scored an 88th-minute equaliser as they twice fought back to rescue a 2-2 draw with the Netherlands in front of 69,285 in Texas on Sunday to open their World Cup 2026 campaigns.
