World Cup co-hosts USA kept the party going as they soundly defeated Australia in Seattle on Friday to qualify for the knockout stage despite the absence of injured star player Christian Pulisic.

The United States advanced to the World Cup knockout rounds with a game to spare following an impressive 2-0 win over Australia in Seattle, further bolstering the hopes of an already hyped host nation.
