The latest addition to the Riverside Sunderland development has started to take shape as works begin on a brand new community space.
Work has begun on the creation of a community and event space called Keel Edge. The multi-use space sits adjacent to City Hall and the Keel Line, with the project seeing a 17,383sq ft brownfield site transformed.
The community space will cater for residents as well as visitors and people working at Riverside Sunderland, providing space for pop-up food vendors, a giant screen and areas to sit and meet. It will also comprise vibrant bespoke artwork designed by local designers.
