NEW DELHI: In a glorious spectacle of women's cricket fervor, Smriti Mandhana steered Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to a resounding victory over Meg Lanning's Delhi Capitals (DC) in the final of Women’s Premier League's (WPL) second edition on March 17.
Chasing a below-par target of 114 in the final, RCB clinched their maiden title with an emphatic eight-wicket victory over DC in Delhi. With the defeat, DC finished as runners-up for the second consecutive year. The Delhi franchise had lost the final of the inaugural season last year to Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians.
