Women's Euros 2022 quarter-final dates and fixtures as England learn path to Wembley final

All eight teams have now been confirmed for the quarter-finals of the Women's Euro 2022 as the tournament heads into the knockout stages.

England emphatically booked their place in the last eight of the when they brushed aside Norway in their penultimate group stage match. They continued their ruthless streak against minnows Northern Ireland as Alessio Russo took her tally for the tournament to three with a brace in the 5-0 rout. Beth Mead continued her hot streak with a goal whilst Fran Kirby got her first goal of the Euros.

Sarina Wiegman's side will face pre-tournament favourites Spain in the last eight after the Spaniards finished second in their group. A win would see Spain equal their best performance in the competition, 24 years after they managed to reach the last four in 1997.

The Lionesses' impressive group stage meant they managed to avoid record-holders Germany, who have been in scintillating form. Martina Voss-Tecklenburg, who was a four-time winner of the Euros as a player, led her side to a 100 per cent record in the group stages, beating Denmark, Spain and Finland by an aggregate score of 9-0.

Germany face Austria in the last eight as they return to the Brentford Community Stadium. The west London venue has been a happy hunting ground for the eight-time winners as they beat the Danes in their opening match and then Spain to book their place in the knockout stages after just two games.

Holders Netherlands secured the runners-up spot and their place in the knockouts with their win over Switzerland in Group C. Meanwhile, Sweden secured their place in the next stage with their win over Portugal.

Two wins from two for France meant that their result against Iceland didn't matter from their standpoint after securing top spot. Despite a late, late equaliser for Iceland in that encounter, it wasn't enough to send them through, with Belgium beating Italy in their final group game to make it through from Group D.
