Women's Energia AIL season hit days before kick-off by withdrawal of Malone RFC

The 2022/23 women's Energia All-Ireland League and Cup will be played out between nine instead of 10 teams following Malone RFC's 'reluctant' withdrawal.

In a blow to the League ahead of the start of the new campaign, with teams that were due to play Malone on the fixture list now forced to have a bye week instead.

Railway Union were due to kick off their season against Malone at Energia Park on Saturday, but that game is now cancelled.
