Women in Scotland waiting a decade for endometriosis diagnosis, charity warns

Women in Scotland wait an average of more than 10 years to be diagnosed with endometriosis, research has found.

Endometriosis UK, a charity which raises awareness and aims to improve the lives of women with the condition, said the average waiting time is 10 years and two months – an increase from the average of eight years and six months reported in 2020.
