A TikTok user who goes by Class Ceiling, with the handle @velveteen.oysters, said in a video that she was shocked by how cheap a rented 2026 Toyota Yaris Cross felt while she was traveling in Norway. She said in the video that she does not own the car and that she rented it during her trip.
In the caption, she said she has faced criticism for driving her 18-year-old Mercedes, so she decided to make a video explaining why she said she will never buy a new car. She said her Mercedes cost her £3,500 and had 42,000 miles on it when she got it.
