A woman who has spent £70,000 turning herself into a real-life Barbie says she is now turning herself into a dominatrix version of the doll to punish men online. Marcela Iglesias, 42, has been obsessed with the Mattel toy ever since she was a child.
But while she's previously stuck to classic "pink and girly" outfits, the reality TV star is now turning down a darker path – with black latex. She's making plenty of cash from the venture too, "humiliating" submissive rich and powerful men from "finance, legal and tech" industries.
"It's always been a fantasy of mine to become a dominatrix, I love being in charge," Marcela said. "I feel powerful and important when I'm humiliating men – having this type of control is super sexy.
"Being a dominatrix is like therapy to me and to the clients as well. It releases stress and at the same time, it opens the expression of those fantasies they can't fulfil with their partners." Marcela, who joined OnlyFans in May, speaks to the men on the site online – with her speciality "talking down" to her 'subs' online, and telling them what to do.
And they apparently "love getting orders by dominatrix Barbie". But there are a few strict rules the subs must follow, including never looking Marcela in the eyes unless permitted.
She said: "My fans love the dark side of my Barbie look because it's something they haven't seen before. They want me to tell them off and to put them down.
"They can't speak and they have to do whatever I want. The subs also can't look at me in the face directly unless I allow them to do so."
Although she has been a fan of wearing latex outfits for years, Marcela's move into BDSM only happened after a few of her followers asked if she'd ever considered bossing them around. She said: "When I started OnlyFans, I realised that there's a lot of people who want just more than sexy stuff.
"But because I don't do nudes, a couple of them asked me how I felt about being dominant. It has always been a fantasy of mine, so I said why not?"
Most of her clients are aged between 40-75. She said: "I don't have to ask them to send me money, they already know because I will not engage in any conversation unless they send gifts first.
"I can ask for anything that I want; in fact, one sub offered me an apartment and a car – which I happily accepted, but then I asked for crypto instead. Most of my subs work in finance, law and tech sectors, and most of the time they feel that they're not doing the right thing.
"They tell me they feel dirty, soulless and empty so through my treatment they feel alive again and can actually feel something."
Having been married for 13 years, Marcela says her husband Steve Berman is very supportive of her work. She added: "He has no problem at all.
"We have great communication. He approved of me doing OnlyFans since the beginning."
