An engineer who funded a luxury lifestyle filled with foreign holidays, second homes and designer handbags by selling crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis was earning so much from her drugs empire she did not even need to touch any of her job salary. University of Hull graduate Danielle Stafford illicit side business was successful for many years, but it came "unravelling before her very eyes" by pure chance - when she was caught speeding by police.
The engineer, 29, enjoyed luxuries like nine watches and three Louis Vuitton handbags, and was "awash with cash" from her drug dealing business, Hull Crown Court heard. All that started to fall apart when police in Hull spotted Stafford's silver Audi speeding along Priory Road towards the city centre, before it hastily turned into Hotham Road South, cutting the corner and cutting up a vehicle that was heading the other way, HullLive reports.
Police followed the car and pulled it over in a car park on Wold Road - and police could immediately smell cannabis coming from inside the vehicle. Stafford, of Hallgate, Cottingham, "immediately lied" and handed over a small silver wrap containing two buds of cannabis skunk.
