A woman weighing 47st has died just before she could undergo a life-saving operation in Turkey gifted to her by an anonymous donor.
Hrystina Sekulova, from Dupnitsa in Bulgaria, had been offered the chance of a new life to reverse the health complications that came with her 660lb frame.
Hrystina began gaining weight 10 years ago after a traumatic incident.
She recalled going to visit a friend who then proceeded to lash her sick husband with a belt in front of her.
After witnessing the horrific assault, she went home to her parents and developed a number of psychiatric symptoms.
It turned out that witnessing the beating had triggered bipolar disorder in the young woman.

After she started taking the mood stabilisers, she rapidly piled on the pounds which resulted in her becoming essentially immobilised.
It got so bad that she was unable to stand by herself for more than a few minutes, meaning that she was unable to leave home.
Because of her weight and being unable to leave home, she had to drop out of school and work.
