A woman was locked up every night and chained to her partner who kept her prisoner in her own home for five years.
Michael Cooper, 50, fitted bars to the windows and forced her to sleep in the loft, a court was told.
To stop her leaving the house he chained her arm to his own and secured it with a padlock.
