A holidaymaker arrived at her accommodation - only to find out the hotel had been closed for two years. Patricia Jubb, 56, booked a package holiday with Expedia in May this year.
She said she couldn't get hold of Anton Apartments Piekna, the hotel she was staying at, to inform them of her late arrival in Warsaw. But, she was desperate to go on the holiday and attend a music concert that she'd had tickets for since 2020 - which had been cancelled twice due to Covid.
Patricia flew to Warsaw Chopin Airport by herself on July 13 and got a taxi to the hotel. When she arrived a security guard at the address told her Anton Apartments Pikena had been closed for two years and the building was now office space.
