Woman tries to 'pull child from mum's arms' in Nottinghamshire village

Police have launched an investigation after a woman tried to pull a two-year-old child from his mother's arms in a Nottinghamshire village. The incident happened in Arnold Lane, Gedling, towards the junction with Friday Lane at around 5.55pm on Wednesday, April 19.

A mum had one child in a pushchair and another in her arm when an unknown woman reportedly approached her muttering under her breath. She then tugged at the two-year-old being carried before being challenged.

The suspect then run away in the direction of the mini roundabout near Main Street, according to police. She is described as white, aged 50 to 60, small, skinny build, wearing a blue face mask, dark blue jeans and a pink puffer coat with the hood up.
