A woman was trapped in a car and a road was closed after a crash.
Merseyside Police rushed to Lydiate Lane at the junction with Halewood Road in Woolton at around 4.35pm on Monday, May 30, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene officers found a silver Volkswagen Polo and a grey Ford Fiesta were involved in the crash.
The police called for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service service to attend to release a woman who was trapped in a vehicle and to help make the scene safe. A short time later the woman was able to get herself out of the vehicle.

The North West Ambulance Service were in attendance at the scene, but no details were given on the injuries of the people involved in the crash.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "At around 4.35pm it was reported that two vehicles, a silver Volkswagen Polo and a grey Ford Fiesta were involved in a collision on Lydiate Lane at the junction with Halewood Road."
