An elderly woman tragically died on the evening of February 28 after her condition deteriorated in an ambulance while she waited for approximately eight hours to be admitted to hospital.
The woman was treated by medical staff and paramedics in the ambulance outside of the hospital while she waited for a bed to become available.
She sadly died in the Emergency Department of Ulster Hospital in Northern Ireland.
