Woman throws eight pampered pooches birthday parties and takes them for coffee

A proud pet owner has boasted of throwing birthday parties and putting on café trips for her eight pampered pooches.

Bethany Stokoe, 27 from Consett, County Durham, works at a kennel and dog day care centre - but still can't get enough of her canine friends.

She owns eight Staffordshire Bull Terrier mixes, including Kira, 7, Rio, 7, Ziggy, 7, Ziva, 7, Max, 9, Dexter, 9, Misty, 10, and Mitzey, 11.

Most of the pack grew up together, with Max and Mitzey arriving last year, and spend all day as a group.

Bethany, who hires out doggy cafes for their birthdays and even takes them on trips to Starbucks and McDonald’s, has seen her beloved dogs go viral ever since she started posting videos of them online.

Their antics have since racked up over 100,000 views on TikTok, and she commented: "At both places we went through the drive-thru because I daren't tie them all to the bench outside as they'd probably pull it out of the ground.

"Everyone was staring at us asking me questions like 'are they yours?' or 'are you a dog walker?' - meanwhile all the staff found it so funny!

"Each doggy got a puppuccino and a plain cheeseburger, so they were all very pleased.

"We always try to celebrate their birthdays in style, either by hiring out a doggy cafe which is very cheap, or hire out a field with some climbing area for them - both costs no more than £15."

She added that she had "invited friends and their dogs along" to play games like "doggy pass the parcel", where each dog wears a party hat.

Unfortunately, Bethany revealed she and the pack also faced their fair share of negative comments too.

She said: "I've had comments from the public like 'look at those vicious dogs' or people generally acting cautious around them.

But she believes that these "stereotypes about Staffies" are "not true at all", as hers are "extremely well-mannered dogs."

"When people see us out and about, it's normally met with a warm welcome and most places we visit it's the same reaction.", she said.

Bethany says she has always grown up with four-legged friends, with her family having owned Boxer dogs when she was young.

But she prefers Staffies, which she describes as "all rounded" dogs, as they are happy to either relax or go out for long walks - and are also great with children.

Her favourite place to go with her pets is the sandy beach at Druridge Bay in Northumberland, and she says the car is "bouncing with how excited they all are" when they arrive.
