An investigation has been launched after a woman was hospitalised following an assault at a bar in Tynemouth.
Officers from Northumbria Police investigating the assault at a bar in Tynemouth are now appealing to the public for any information.
It was reported a woman had been assaulted at the Head of Steam pub shortly before 12.30am on September 4.

The 22-year-old woman suffered facial injuries and was taken to hospital where she was later discharged.
As it stands, Northumbria Police have not indicated that anybody has been arrested in connection with the incident.
The incident was later reported to police who subsequently launched an investigation.
As part of their ongoing enquiries, police have now issued an appeal to the public, asking for their help.
