A heartbroken mum recounted the horrific abuse her daughter was subjected to by her 'evil partner' in the days before she tragically died of a drug overdose. Charissa Brown-Wellington, was found unresponsive at the property she shared with boyfriend Bobby Hardman in Gorse Bank, Bury, on February 2, 2022.
The 36-yer-old passed away later that same day, with a post-mortem later concluding that she died as the result of a drug overdose. It was also noted by the pathologist that she had sustained several injuries, including bruising to her face, head, stomach, arms and legs.
Hardman, from Bury, had been abusing Ms Brown and had banned her from leaving the house in the 24 hours before she was discovered, Minshull Street Crown Court heard. The 33-year-old pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and false imprisonment. He was yesterday to sentenced to four years in prison with an extended licence period of two years, Manchester Evening News reports.
