One woman was left stunned after she was sure she found King Charles in the lid of her banana smoothie.
Claire Aris purchased the drink from a Sainsbury’s branch, not far from where she lives in Plymouth, shortly after the Queen died.
She didn’t think twice about her drink, until she noticed the rather shocking resemblance the inside of the lid had to the soon-to-be crowned King.
The dregs of the fruit drink, the 49-year-old said, bore a shocking resemblance to the side-profile of King Charles.
The image is similar to how he is seen on the new coins, which entered circulation in December.
But there is one small difference, with Charles’ smoothie look-a-like facing right, but on currency the king is looking left.
The late Queen Elizabeth looked right, but as is the tradition when one monarch takes over from another, they face the other direction.
Claire described her find as “amazing”. She told PlymouthLive: "I thought today might be a good time to tell you of my amazing find of King Charles on the lid of my Banana smoothie.
"I was just sat in Sainsbury's car park with my daughter and I looked down and immediately said, 'Oh my God, it's King Charles!'
"This was a while ago, back when we lost the Queen. But I posted it to Facebook and all my friends were telling me to go to the newspapers and now of course it's gone a bit mad with the coronation I thought it would be the right time."
When asked if she saw his appearance on her smoothie lid as a sign of something, she replied: "Not really, no."
The 49-year-old's discovery comes just days after another woman found Princess Diana in a pack of ham from Tesco.
Hattie Osma, 36, told GloucestershireLive she was "shocked" by what she saw in her ham.
The discoloured top corner of the second slice of her packet of ham was none other than the beloved icon herself, the People's Princess ... if viewed from a healthy distance.
She said: "I had a round of toast instead after seeing her in the ham, I couldn't risk damaging the ham!"
Recalling the moment she found Lady Di, Hattie said: "I went straight to work, during lunch I started making a ham sandwich when I noticed the second slice had a sort of face in it.
"I thought I was seeing things, on closer inspection, its likeness was Lady Di, the whole office agreed.
"I was shocked, I gave out a little gasp, my co-worker Madeleine asked what was the matter, I showed it to her and she was shocked too, with it being so close to the coronation, it's really spooky."
