A woman has suffered serious injuries after she was stabbed outside a block of flats in Leeds where residents say they fear for the safety of their kids.
West Yorkshire Police rushed to the scene in Birch Court, Morley, after shortly after 7pm on Saturday, February 11. The woman was found with serious injuries and taken to hospital.
Residents, who wish to stay anonymous, have spoken of wider issue with drugs in the area which they say has led to more crime in the estate and left them fearing for their families.

One woman said: "I've got three kids, three, five and eight, so it angers me to be honest. Police are here quite a lot and its always the same people. Seeing drug deals in the middle of the street every day infront of my kids is a joke.
"The arguments and the fights, if it werent for them this would be a quiet street. The local smackheads. We all knew something like this was brewing."
Another said: "We get trouble on a regular basis now due to the amount of drug users housed in the flats. It's awful it used to be a lovely quiet area until the last few years, most neighbours on the street have had some kind of CCTV/ring doorbells fitted."
Another said: "I was worried as I have a newborn at home and it’s worrying thinking this has happened so close."
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Shortly after 7pm on Saturday evening (February 11) police were called to a report of an incident in Birch Court, Morley. Emergency services attended and a woman was found with serious injuries after being stabbed.
"The injured woman was taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances regarding the incident."
