Woman smashes spouse’s head with stone, nabbed in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: A 30-year-old woman has been detained for allegedly killing her husband by smashing his head with a stone inside her residence in Jakkasandra village on Tuesday night.

The deceased is Hanumaiah, 35, an agriculture labourer. The incident came to light on Wednesday morning after Bhagya, also an agriculture labourer, sought help fromvillagers, claiming that some miscreants had entered their house and murdered Hanumaiah.

He used to beat up Bhagya in an inebriated condition. Bhagya, who tried to destroy evidence by throwing the stone in a well, confessed to the crime, police said.
