A woman was "sick to her stomach" after a horrifying find in her morning coffee.
Danielle Lewis has been going to Subway on Sefton Street for her morning caramel latte for the last few months on her way to work. But one morning, it left her feeling physically ill.
The 31-year-old ordered and drank her coffee as usual, but when she got to the bottom of the cup, she realised there were insects floating around. She counted around 10 dead ants floating at the bottom of the cup.

Danielle, from Anfield, told the ECHO: "I've felt sick ever since. I don't know how many I actually drank. I went for my regular morning coffee.
"I never drink the last bit at the bottom but I looked and found ants in the cup. I took it back and the man said to me he was sorry, put it in the bin and asked me if I wanted another free coffee."
Danielle said she has since complained to Subway but has yet to hear back. She added: "I've only just started liking and drinking coffee, I felt like an adult but this has made me sick to my stomach.
"You could see it was ants, you could see a load of little legs so God knows how many I actually drank. They said they must have crawled into the syrup. I've heard nothing from Subway yet. I've not eaten since.
"I wish I'd kept it now just to prove. It's not what you expect to see. Afterwards I felt like they were stuck in the back of my throat all day, I was just swigging water."
A Subway spokesperson said: "The store manager has contacted the guest and offered a full refund for this order. An immediate review of the restaurant is also taking place to identify if any additional remedial measures are required. This store holds a 5/5 hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency."
