Woman shares massage gun hack that helps you clean your car

People have been left gobsmacked by a TikTok that shows an easy hack that makes cleaning your car's carpets so much easier. The video shows user Llanie using a massage gun to loosen and pull up dirt and sand from the carpet.

The video has a whopping 1.3million likes and shows a massage gun being used to pull up sand from the car floor, making it easy to spot and hoover away. As well as showing off an easy way to get rid of sand, it showed just how much of it hides in car carpets.

People were taken aback by the hack with one commenter saying: "Why we use carpet in cars is beyond me", with another amazed with the amount of sand the massage gun was pulling up, saying: "Just looking at this, is making my allergies act up".

A third user said: "wait, I didn't know they could be used for that!", and added: "I should have grabbed one of those on clearance". Another user suggested getting a cheap massage gun specifically for this job, saying: "Buy a $20 massage gun on Amazon so you don’t have to dirty your expensive ones".

While this trick is great, the best way to get sand and dirt out of a car is to make sure it never gets in. Thankfully, the experts at Leasing Options have suggested some useful ways to keep your car sand-free this summer.

Pack talcum powder:

This sounds strange, but it works. Rubbing a small amount of baby powder on your hands and feet will help get rid of the remaining sand when getting back into your car. Baby powder is so effective at getting wet, sticky sand off your body because it actually absorbs the moisture so the sand will just fall off of you.

In case you're curious, the scientific reason for this is that baby powder contains anti-caking agents.

Bring a laundry bag for sandy clothes:

Packing an extra bag for sandy clothes and towels is a great way to avoid traipsing sand into your car. If you have children, take spare outfits so that they are nice and clean when they get into the car. Once home, you can shake the sandy washing outside before putting it in the washing machine.

Use a soft-bristled brush to remove sand:

Sand is great at sticking to things, such as your shoes or the bottom of your bag. By using a soft-bristled brush you can give your belongings a quick brush to get rid of any excess sand before getting in your car. This is useful for parents or dog owners who may have extra items that have been in the sand such as bowls and toys.
