Woman shares 10p shampoo hack for shinier hair - but expert warns against it

A divisive hack has taken TikTok by storm, claiming to give you gorgeous and luscious shiny hair after one use - but the idea has left some people confused and trying desperately to wash the product out of their hair. One haircare lover even claimed that they had to shampoo their hair 10 times after giving it a go. So, what's the product causing the divide?

It's instant coffee! TikTok user @ anneli.bv claims that by adding instant coffee to your shampoo, it'll make it 'softer and shinier' and will even improve hair growth. In the video it says 'the rough grains will help to exfoliate your scalp'.
