A woman was sexually assaulted while walking near a Paisley park, sparking a police investigation.
At around 9pm yesterday (Saturday, July 16), the 44-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a man while walking in the Durrockstock Park area of the town.
Police Scotland has now launched a probe into the incident, and is asking members of the public for their help in the investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the attack or seen anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact officers.

The suspect is described as being in his 50s with dark grey hair. It is thought he was wearing a dark top or jumper, dark tracksuit bottoms and white trainers
Detective Inspector Alex Allardyce said: “Officers are carrying out enquiries to trace the man responsible and would ask anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or concerning in the area at the time to please get in touch.
“We would like to reassure locals that additional patrols are in place and anyone with information should contact officers on 101 quoting reference 3611 of 16 July, 2022.”
