Woman seen at grave of newborn baby who was found in lake

  • Kent Police have released an e-fit of a distressed woman who visited the grave of an unidentified infant known as Baby April in June.
  • Baby April was found dead from asphyxiation, wrapped in plastic bags at Singleton Lake in Ashford, Kent , on 3 April 1995.
  • Despite obtaining a full DNA profile after exhuming her body in 2011, detectives have been unable to trace the child 's parents or relatives.
  • The woman seen at Bybrook Cemetery is described as white, in her 40s, of medium to slim build, with grey shoulder-length hair and a floral fabric holdall.
  • Detective chief inspector Neil Kimber has urged anyone with information about the woman or the case to contact Kent Police or Crimestoppers.
