A pet lover paid £4,000 to have her cat preserved in a curled-up sleeping position - and says it's the best decision she ever made.

Harriet Peace was devastated when her cat died after being struck by a car, and couldn't bear the thought of him being buried or cremated.

She decided to investigate taxidermy - viewing it as "the perfect way for him to be with me forever."
