A woman said was forced to put her dog down after it caught Weil's Disease from rats in rubbish that had been dumped in her back alleyway. Louise, 59, said the fly-tipping is so bad it has seen rats move in to her downstairs bathroom which she can no longer use.
The pile of fly-tipping is pushed against Louise's back gate and reaches up to around four feet - it includes mattresses, bricks, trees and piles of rubbish. She says she has been passed "from pillar to post" with nobody claiming responsibility for the situation.
Louise, who is disabled, lives in Brereton Avenue in Cleethorpes. Alleyways in North East Lincolnshire are the responsibility of the tenants whose homes back onto them.
