A woman was rushed to hospital minutes after biting into a Subway sandwich when she suffered an allergic reaction. Kiera Gleed says that seven minutes after eating her sub she started to notice a tingling in her throat and her whole body began to swell. She developed a bright red rash.
Kiera, 24, who is allergic to dairy, wheat and nuts, said the reaction was 'one of the worst' she has ever suffered. Subway confirmed to EdinburghLive they are investigating.
Kiera says she checked the company's allergen guide, left a note on the delivery app Just Eat, and tried phoning multiple times to ensure her order was kept away from all the ingredients she might react to.
