Woman's Primark bag burst into flames as she lay by the pool

A woman was shocked when her Primark beach bag burst into flames while she sunbathed on holiday in Crete.

Eva Bacchoo posted a video on TikTok, showing the singed edges of the bag, after "panicking" because she realised her AirPods were inside. Luckily, she was able to douse the flames before the rest of the bag went up.

The 21-year-old said: "I felt shocked at first but, ultimately, I found it funny how it had set itself on fire. I panicked at first with the AirPods but they were safe.”
