Woman's jaw drops over 'terrible' Secret Santa gift - leaving people in stitches

With Christmas Day just around the corner, people are starting to scour the internet for last-minute Secret Santa ideas. Whether you're searching for a hilarious prank or simply a heart-warming present, the internet is often the top option of choice, but it can sometimes be a little deceiving.

Learning the hard way, one woman was gobsmacked when she ordered a Secret Santa gift for a colleague, but it was far from what she originally ordered. Hoping to spread the festive spirit with a handy gadget, a woman jumped on the popular trend of purchasing a nose-shaped glasses holder.

However, she revealed in a post on Mumsnet that she was shocked when she received the "terrible" gift in the post.

Captioning the post, they wrote: "Secret Santa - This shocking right?"

She explained: "Work's Secret Santa. Ordered two gifts, one was a holder for glasses. Described as 'handmade from authentic durable Indian Shisham wood'.

"Erm... Not even close," she added beside a laughing emoji.

Sharing photo side by side, the anonymous woman revealed her dismay after the advertised product was no comparison to what she had originally received.

She wrote: "What ordered, versus what I got!"

The products, which were dissimilar in not only design but also colour, left people flocking to the post to share their hilarious comments.

The poster cleared up the situation: "It was from Amazon. Don't flame me any haters out there, I realised on Monday that secret Santa was this week. I'm new to job and don't know my team incredibly well at the moment, so I ordered my something that might be helpful and a nice ornament of sorts.

"It's f*****g shocking though!

She added: "£7. It was the going rate for that type of thing. It had 4.5 star reviews. I shared it on a FB group for the laughs, and people responded with pic of their wooden glasses holder, they paid same as me and got an item that looked like the picture."

Taking to the comments, one person said: "That is actually quite funny."

"OMG!!!! That's so bad!" Another penned.

"That looks like the sort of thing that my 14 year old self might have produced," another admitted.

A different user wrote: "Oh my God op this is awful lmao."

"It's awful but the original is awful too," a fifth penned. "I really can't imagine why you would think anyone would like it."

Someone else commented: "Someone fished that out of a dumpster."
