Woman's 'creepy stalker' installed listening devices whilst she visited partner

A woman has spoken out about how a "creepy stalker" neighbour planted listening devices in her home whilst she visited her partner in Nottingham. Debbue Wearing Jones, 64, lived at a property in Birmingham but entrusted her neighbour and his wife to feed her cats whilst she visited her partner every week.

But William Nolan, 59, abused this trust by installing devices including a voice recorder under Debbie's coffee table. It was this device that led Debbie to install covert webcams to catch the person who came to collect the recording kit.

The grandma-of-one watched the footage back and caught Nolan in her home, retrieving the spyware recorders, and called the police. Former security guard Nolan admitted stalking without fear, alarm or distress and was jailed for 15 weeks at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on May 25, 2020.
