A woman was rushed to hospital after being found injured in the road this morning (November 25).
Emergency services were called to the scene close to Gathurst Lane, in Shevington, at around 11am, where officers found a woman had been injured and she was taken to hospital for treatment. Greater Manchester Police have not released any further information on her condition, reports LancsLive.
Eyewitnesses said the woman, who was found just off the pavement in the road at New Miles Lane, close to a bus stop near a Co-op store, was believed to have been a pedestrian.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Greater Manchester Police were called to Gathurst Lane, Wigan at around 11am today (Friday 25 November 2022).
"Officers attended the scene and found a woman who has since been taken to hospital for treatment, with the extent of the injuries unknown at this time."
