A woman was rescued from a vehicle after a huge five car smash in Tameside on Tuesday morning (September 6). Emergency services scrambled to the scene on Talbot Road, Hyde, shortly after 11am.
Pictures taken in the aftermath show a huge emergency services response, with the fire service and paramedics at the scene. Fire crews had to rescue a woman from one of the vehicles involved before she was taken to hospital.
Five vehicles were involved in the crash, with the road blocked off as the scene was made safe. Further details about how the incident occurred or the nature of injuries have not yet been confirmed but Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for information.

A spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At approximately 11.10am on Tuesday, 6th September, firefighters attended a road traffic collision involving five vehicles on Talbot Road, in Hyde. Fire engines from Stockport, Offerton and Marple quickly attended the scene.
“Firefighters extricated a woman from one of the vehicles. She was then transferred to the care of colleagues from NWAS and taken to hospital. Fire crews also worked to the make the scene safe and were in attendance for around 50 minutes.”
