A woman has been rescued from a river in Swansea after emergency services were called to the scene. South Wales Police said officers were called to the water near Sainsbury's supermarket in Quay Parade in the city centre on Tuesday afternoon, following reports of a woman in the water.
It's not yet known how the woman ended up in the water or who called the emergency services for assistance, but police have confirmed the woman has been rescued safely.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police explained: "South Wales Police was called just after 1.15pm today, Tuesday, May 24, following reports of a woman in the water near to Sainsbury's in Quay Parade.
