Gardai issued a fresh appeal for witnesses to come forward following a recent crash that left a woman and child in hospital.
The incident happened on the Merrion Road in Ballsbridge on February 25, 2022, at around 7.05 pm and investigations are ongoing.
It is understood that the woman aged in her 40s remains at St Vincent's hospital one week after the collision but is in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, a female child also received medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries at Crumlin Children’s Hospital.
In a statement released on Thursday afternoon, An Garda Siochana asked that anyone who was on the Merrion Road - in particular near the Merrion Gates - on February 25 between 6.50 pm and 7.10 pm and who may have camera footage, to make it available to officers.

The statement explained: “Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision that occurred on the Merrion Road in Ballsbridge, Dublin on Friday, 25th February 2022.
“The collision involving a car and two pedestrians occurred at approximately 7.05 pm. A woman, aged in her 40s, was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment for serious injuries following the collision. At this time, she remains in a stable condition.
“A female child also received medical attention at Crumlin’s Children Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
“Gardai are appealing to any person who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.”
