A woman on a mobility scooter was hit by an Audi on a busy Liverpool Road.
Merseyside Police were called to Liverpool Road, at the junction of Lyme Cross Road at around 3.40pm on Wednesday, December 21, following reports of a crash. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a woman in her 50s, who was on a mobility scooter, had been in a crash with an Audi.
The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Liverpool Road and surrounding roads were closed while emergency services attend the incident. Police asked drivers to avoid the area and find an alternative route.
The North West Ambulance Service were seen attending the incident by an eyewitness. Merseyside Police were unable to confirm if the woman was injured in the incident.
Police are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist the investigation.
