Woman left with serious injuries after horror crash in Aberdeen

A 25-year-old woman has been rushed to hospital following a horror crash between a car and motorbike in Aberdeen.

Emergency services raced to Great Northern Road at its junction with Fullarton Court after receiving reports of a two-vehicle smash at roughly 8.15 pm on Saturday.

The collision, which occurred near the Haudagain Roundabout, involved a blue Yamaha motorcycle and a grey Mercedes.

A woman, who was the pillion passenger on the motorcycle, suffered severe injuries and was blue-lighted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Medics have described her condition as serious but stable.

No other injuries were reported.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing and police have asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

Sergeant Peter Henderson of Roads Policing Unit, Inverurie, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either vehicle in the area prior to the crash. We’d also be keen to hear from anyone who may have relevant dash-cam footage.”
