A woman says she was left "humiliated" and "hungry" after claims she was refused a table at a popular pizza restaurant because she had turned up alone. The headteacher had nipped into Manchester city centre on her way home from work, hoping to treat herself to a bite to eat at Detroit pizza specialists Ramona, and had paid £4 to park nearby.
But as she arrived at the Ancoats eatery, she claims to have become embroiled in a bizarre dispute with the bouncer - who allegedly told her the restaurant operates a 'no-singles' policy.
