Woman jokes she has 'Richmond sausage' lips after filler obsession makes them split

A woman has been able to poke fun at herself by sharing a candid insight into the way she looked after she became obsessed with having lip fillers.

The woman, named Chelsa, posted a video on TikTok in which she said her lips were once "so full of filler" that her top lip split in the middle - and she joked she had ended up looking like she had "Richmond sausages" for lips.

Chelsa's clip included a picture of herself after her lips had split, and while it's unclear when the photo was taken, she explained in the comments that things had gotten out of hand over the course of a few years.

The woman captioned the video: "Richmond sausage lips."

And in text included in the clip, which was posted under the username @xxchelsaxx, she added: "When my lips were so full of filler they split and looked like a bum hole.”

Chelsa then offered more insight into her lip disaster in the comments of the video, when she admitted the split was the result of having 7ml of fillers injected, when most people only have around 1ml in their lips at a time.

However, the woman also stated she got to that stage after slowly increasing the amount of filler she had injected each time, as she told one commenter: "It was a gradual build-up over about 3/4 years."

And while Chelsa can poke fun at her lips now that she limits her injections, it's important to understand the risks of going to the extremes with filler, such as migration, which occurs when parts of the body are overfilled.

You should always keep track of the amount of filler that will be put into your lips, as it can be easy to get carried away and lose sight of how big your lips might be getting.

If you've ever had filler before, you should always let your practitioner know if you already have some filler in your lips before you have more injected - as this will help them assess how much they should be giving you.
