West Yorkshire Police were called to the scene just after 4pm earlier today after a woman was hit by a bus.
They were responding to reports of a female pedestrian who had been hit by a bus. The woman was then taken to hospital from the scene and it is unclear how serious her injuries were.
One eyewitness described the horrifying moment the bus hit the woman. She said: the bus driver had slammed the brakes on and pressed his horn, but the woman was hit by the bus and went "up in the air".

She said: "Lots of people started jumping off the bus, there was so many children crying that were on the bus." People tried to help her and called an ambulance before flagging down a passing police car.
The eyewitness said: "It was horrible to see it I was just shaking like mad." She added: "I honestly just couldn't feel my legs."
West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called shortly before 4pm today (Wednesday, 28 September) to a report of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian on Headrow, Leeds. The female pedestrian has been taken to hospital."
